Conceived to be a real-estate sales pavillon for a mixed-use development, the brief was to communicate the vision of the developer to put up a progressive city with world-class infrastructure, yet deeply rooted with a people-first sensibility. The architectural response was a contemporary building, unbound by norms or usual expectations of what a building should be. Wrapped with canopies that protect the interiors from the tropicality of the place, the structure is pushed down to the ground plane, allowing people to access a stepped and elevated public space above.
