Always eager for something new, the Filipino has so often and for so long traded what is his for what is someone else’s. Today, he has become a stranger to his own land and his heritage.
The Filipino people must first rediscover its roots and realize what makes them unique as a people. The New Cultural Center of the Philippines is conceptualized to be a venue for the rediscovery and realization of what is essential about our roots, achieved through icons, architectural forms, and an outdoor sensory experience that capture the Filipino spirit.
