The shell was already built when this interior commission was awarded to the firm. One of the initial realizations upon the start of the design analysis was that the previous designer placed the fenestrations at the façade according to how it will look externally, without giving much consideration about how it will affect the interior spaces. To hide this flaw, “architectural frames” were used all over the interiors to visually stitch the overall composition of the spaces. Aside from this purpose, they also have different functions, depending on its location within the house (ledges, storage, partition, counter top, etc.)
